Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton’s recent comments on her biggest fear being that of terrorist with Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), to included chemical, biological, radiologicalal and nuclear (CBRN) came shortly after a presentation by the Director of NationalIntelligence, Dennis Blair, to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. In Blair’s Annual Threat Assessment of the U.S. Intelligence Community, Blair commented that, although counter-terrorist activity have dealt a significant blow to Al Qaeda’s near-term efforts to develop a sophisticated CBRN attack capability, the U.S. intelligence community judges that the group is still intent on acquiring the capability. Blair also stated the obvious when he said that if al Qaeda were able to develop CBRN weapons and had the operatives to use them – it would do so.
Some people have a real handle on the obvious.
But now that we have no real CBR capability and will not retaliate against a massive CBR attack against the U. S. with nukes under the new NRP, what will the government do if attacked by CBR weapons?
Heaven knows Mr. Allison…
