The Administration’s National Security Strategy is unsustainable. The U.S. national security strategy is generally: (1) defend the homeland, (2) forward presence to engage adversaries and assist allies, (3) defeat terrorist, and (4) promote democracy. All this can be done only with strong national power.
There are only three significant sources of national power: political, economic and military. No nation can maintain super power status for long without all three and we’re teetering on all fronts.
Our Congress is mired in socialist programs that many oppose but the Democrats want to sustain their base and the Republicans have no viable alternatives.
The stock market roller coaster ride has no improvement in sight. The European economies are falling after the Wall Street failures and the unbelievable expensive bail outs.
The Korean peninsula is on alert for major war but the U.S. is mired in two wars with no outright winning strategy in either.
The U.S. is over committed on all fronts and there is no end in sight.
Why isn’t this a major news story on our so called main street news media?
